One of his older sons, Dior, who works for the NFLPA, still prevents him from seeing his grandchildren. This son claims that he didn’t have a father in the home when he was growing up, which is completely false.

This summer of 2023, his youngest son’s mother, Tasha W. snatched their son from the father’s home and prevented him from having any court-ordered custody visits for several months. 

Emails in court records have revealed that Darryl’s ex-wife and her mother caused small abrasions in the preschool daughters’ private area to try to blame it on him. This vile conspiracy was enabled by the Anne Arundel County Child Protective Services.

About The Author

Darryl Ginyard is a father of 6: Danielle, Darryl Jr., Dior, his 2 daughters, and youngest son. He was born in Washington DC on August 28th, 1961. This was also the date in which Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his iconic “I Have A Dream” speech. Darryl was always inspired by people who aimed to make a greater difference in the community. He was also mentored by the late Wayne Curry before he was a PG County Executive in Maryland.

Darryl has always been passionate about community and sports. He is a big fan of both the Washington football team and The 76ers. During his earlier life, he developed his own youth sports programs and coached the youth in his local basketball teams to win several championships. He also helped to bring the NBA 3 on 3 basketball tournament (Hoop it Up!) to the DMV and Baltimore area. Darryl has worked with the Channel 4 “It Takes A Whole Village” program, Georgetown Men’s Basketball, WKYS Radio, and many players in the NFL and NBA. He successfully launched the E.D.U.C.A.T.E. Youth Awareness program to help the youth in the DMV area. He has spoken at events in Bowie State College and created sports products to help younger children improve their skills in football and basketball. He has proudly given back to his community and high school for several years. 

Love, Betrayal & Blessings is his first book and memoir on dealing with parental alienation, false sexual abuse allegations, family betrayal, and racial injustices in the family court. Darryl has recently been recovering after being paralyzed through the COVID-pandemic and traumatic life-changing events, but he has been able to find strength through the grace of God, and the support of his youngest daughter, Kayla.
